Managing collaborators: adding people you trust
You can add and manage collaborators in the settings menu. Collaboration with trusted individuals is an essential way to make the most of Stronghold. Collaborators have the same access as the account owner to view, add, and delete the details of any of the items in the account owner's stronghold. Collaborators cannot add or remove other collaborators and cannot change the account owner's access to their Stronghold. Only add collaborators you know and trust. All collaborators must have a free Stronghold account.
Adding collaborators: make a family Stronghold or help aging loved ones
For families, you might want to designate your Stronghold as the family Stronghold for your household. Family members that need access can be added as collaborators.
For users helping a loved one (for example, an aging parent), you may want your loved one to set up their own Stronghold account and then add you as a collaborator. That way, you can set up a separate family Stronghold for your own household.
Switching between your family Stronghold and collaborator Strongholds
Switching between your Stronghold and other Strongholds that you collaborate on is easy and keeps information and documents organized. You can go from your personal or family Stronghold to any other Stronghold that you collaborate on through the drop down menu in the top right where your name is shown (or initials on mobile).
Structure and flexibility: make Stronghold your own while keeping things organized
Stronghold has a structure designed to help today's families, but it has flexibility too. Everyone who creates a Stronghold account will have their own personal Stronghold dashboard, but they might not use it.
For example, you might only use Stronghold as a collaborator on your spouse's Stronghold (to create a family Stronghold) or on your aging parents' Stronghold to help them. In these types of situations, you might not use your personal Stronghold at all and still be making the most of the system.
Also Stronghold can be used by individuals to manage their important documents and information without adding any family members.
